Smith Falls Accident Highway 15 results in death of Ann Himmelman. Ottawa Lawyer David Hollingsworth shares story.

Personal Injury Lawyers Ottawa Ontario…Tragically, Ann Himmelman has died following a terrible accident with a tractor-trailer on Highway 15 , close to Smiths Falls last Friday sometime between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. Ontario Provincial Police arrived to the accident close to Otter Lake Road, just  south of Lombardy, Ontario. The tractor-trailer caught fire after the accident due to its flammble content atthe time of the accident. My thoughts go out to the friends and family of Ann Himmelman at this very sad time.

Smith Falls Ontario High Jump Accident: Funeral for Josiah Grant

Ontario Personal Injury Lawyer David Hollingsworth ..My heart goes out to all the family and friends of Josiah Grant.  This was such a terrible accident that took the life of a young and talented kid. What a tragic accident.  The high-jump death of Josiah Grant has left us all asking ourselves..how could this have happened?

Josiah Grant was just 17 years old and was from Smiths Falls, Ontario.  Sadly, Josiah died last Wednesday at Kingston General Hospital a day after the high jump accident when he missed the landing on the safety pad. It was reported that he landed awkwardly and suffered some “scrapes and bruises”, but remained conscious. The 2 teachers administered first aid and called Josiah’s father who brought him to a Kingston hospital , where Josiah lapsed into a coma. He never came out of it.

This accident calls into question the safety practices that have been established for students.  The School Board has an obligation to ensure the safety of its students.  Accidents like this should never happen. My heart goes out to everyone who knew Josiah….
