I was the driver in this accident, and I was wearing a helmet. The visor was covered in mud, I couldn’t see properly, so I had just lifted it, and the clear glasses I was wearing had fogged up. I was also wearing a head light. I didn’t see any reflective marking on the gate, and didn’t have time to stop before I hit the gate. We had entered from an unmarked area, and there were no signs prohibiting Atv’s. I also don’t remember hitting the gate, a lot is of my partner explaining to me the incident. I am pretty battered up, but am recovering quite well. The trauma team at the civic hospital has done an excellent job in helping me to recover. I just wanted to give my side of what had really happened that morning. Thank you for taking the time to read this. I’d just like to thank you for this post. I saw it a little later than needed but it is still nice to see that someone looked at it as a tragdey because that’s exactly what it was. The posts I was reading in the time of the accident untrue, hurtful, and meaningless. Today, May 9 and this tragdey still affects our life majorly!

I’m Alex’s cousin I just want to thank all the people who supported the fund and our family mourning.i still miss him so much his smile was the sunshine in everyone’s day.we were so close as kids and then we lost contact and outta nowhere he showed up at my house for my grandpas funeral was so nice and then next thing you know we were all at his. I think she deserved a worse sentence wasn’t enough not for the pain my family’s been going through
