Accident Calypso water park, gas leak sends 13 children to CHEO.

Ontario Injury Lawyer David Hollingsworth..Close to 20 people sufferred serious personal injury yesterday at Calypso Water Park. A strange gas suddenly filled the air causing those who inhaled the gas to cough and gag. Nick Beaudoin and his 2 nephews were partof those who needed to be rushed to an Ottawa hospital. 13 children in total needed treatment for the exposure to the gas and were brought to the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) due to sore throats, runny eyes, nausea and vomiting. It was reported that many kids were dropping  to their knees in pool, gasping for air. Then several kids began vomiting and foaming at the mouth.

 Ottawa rescue crews arrived at Calypso close to 1:30 to treat  20 children that had been exposed to the unknown gas. Calypso waterpark officials have confirmed that the gas wasn’t a chlorine leak and reopened yesterday afternoon. The Ontario Ministry of Health is investigating the incident.
