I’m very surprised by these statistics and urge ALL drivers and passengers to wear a seatbelt and put away all electronic devices. It’s absolutely imperative that when you are driving , you are absolutely focussing on the road and your surroundings. Distracted driving not only jeopardizes your life, but the lives of others. Please, please drive safely.I know it is tempting to answer that call, or respond to a text, but there is a time and place for everything and driving is no the time or place. I hope to see these staggering statistics lower in Ottawa.
