Ottawa personal injury lawyer David Hollingsworth…Please be careful out on the roads today and tomorrow..A winter storm watch for the Ottawa Valley has been upgraded to a freezing rain warning that is expected to drop up to 60 millimetres of rain on some communities over the next two days. The freezing rain warning is in effect for Bancroft – Hastings Highlands – Denbigh, Barry’s Bay – Killaloe and Petawawa – Pembroke – Cobden. Heavy rain is also expected with rainfall totals reaching 50 to 60 millimetres in some communities by tonight. Drivers are being warned about poor visibility and difficult driving conditions as a result. Meanwhile, a special weather statement has been issued for Ottawa and the surrounding area, predicting heavy rain from Belleville to Cornwall. The special weather statement forecasts 20 to 40 millimetres of rainfall across much of the region today. Please be careful out there. It may not look like ice, but rain can freeze quickly making our eastern Ontario roads very dangerous. Take your time and be aware that the driving conditions out there are dangerous.
