Ottawa accident: woman in wheelchair suffers serious head injury, lawyer David Hollingsworth
Ottawa Personal InjuryLawyer David Hollingsworth.. A 50 year old Ottawa woman is currently in an Ottawa hospital with severe head injuries after a car hit her wheelchair yesterday and dragged her several metres in Ottawa’s west end. The Ottawa accident occurred shortly after 5 p.m. on Richmond Road near the Ottawa River Parkway. The woman was hit and dragged onto the road and remained trapped under the car. Ottawa Rescue crews were able to free her eventually. One paramedic indicated that the woman was on some levels lucky as her wheelchair absorbed some of the impact. Thankfully, she is now in stable condition when paramedics took her to hospital. The person driving the car was uninjured.

Ottawa expecting snow and freezing rain tomorrow, Ottawa lawyer David Hollingsworth
Posted by Ottawa Personal Injury Lawyer, Ottawa Accident Lawyer, David Hollingsworth in Ottawa Injury and Accidents, Ottawa Resources, safety on April 22nd, 2012
Ottawa Personal Injury Lawyer David Hollingsworth…I can’t believe it but apparently it is going to snow and freeze rain tomorrow. What worries me is that many of us have already removed our snow tires and this could be dangerous, leading to an increased rate of Ottawa accidents. There is a storm front moving in beginning with rain, then turning to snow. The snow will not likely stick around for long but will make driving conditions a challenge in the Ottawa and eastern Ontario area. Please take your time tomorrow out on the roads. There will be many more cars on the roads, especially on the highway out to Scotiabank Place. Leave extra braking distance between you and the vehicle in front of you . Please also look out for cyclists and pedestrians, as your braking speed may be affected by the severe change in weather. Drive safely.
