Snowmobile Accident Lawyer in Ottawa – Stay off the ice !
Ottawa Accident Lawyer- My thoughts go out to this man and his family. My sympathies…
Please- stay off the ice unless you know for sure that it is safe !
The police are urging Ottawa-area snowmobile riders to stay off bodies of water this weekend due to mild temperatures. This comes after a tragic fatal snowmobile accident in Haliburton. A 43-year-old man crashed through the ice of Redstone Lake Friday night. His friends found him in the open water and tried to rescue him but weren’t able to bring him to shore. Authorities scoured the area on Friday night, then brought in a dive team on Saturday. His body was discovered on Saturday afternoon. The man’s name has not been released to media, but his family is aware of the situation.”This is certainly one of those tragedies that certainly could have been avoided if individuals stayed off area lakes until they’re safe to venture on to,” said OPP Const. Peter Leon. “Conditions are not only extremely unsafe, but they are very unpredictable due to the recent mild weather,”
