Do you have enough Ontario accident benefits, death and funeral benefits ?

Have you lost a loved one in an Ottawa accident?

We are sorry and we want to help.  Did you know your Ontario accident benefits cover death and funeral benefits, to help cover some of your costs ?

The standard amount of death  and funeral benefits in Ontario  is $25,000 to an eligible spouse and $10,000 to each dependant.

Maximum compensation for funeral expenses ?

There is also a maximum of $6,000 for  expenses incurred for a funeral. In 2010,  The Financial Services Commission of Ontario (FSCO) introduced optional benefits for purchase.  In essence, if you want to pay a slightly higher premium each month, you could increase your death and funeral benefits to $50,000 to your eligible spouse, $20,000 to each dependant, and $8,000 for funeral expenses. No one wants to have to think about the unthinkable.  That is why purchasing these additional benefits is a tough thing to consider.   May you never need  to access these death and funeral benefits.  If you do, we are sorry and we are here to help. Ontario Injury Lawyer David Hollingsworth…Fatal Hawkesbury Accident on Highway 17…Regrettably, one person has died when their car hit a tractor-trailer east of Ottawa Thursday morning.  The Hawkesbury accident occurred on County Road 17 in East Hawkesbury, about 110 kilometres east Ottawa. The car hit a tracotr-trailer between Tupper Street and Golf Road. The driver of the truck did not suffer any personal injuries.  My thoughts go out to the friends and family of the deceased man..
