Ottawa accident Rideau Canal sends one to Ottawa Hospital Trauma Centre with serious personal injuries.

Personal Injury Lawyer Ottawa Ontario…David Hollingsworth and Associates… Yesterday, a man was brought to an Ottawa hospital , after he lost control of his vehicle yesterday morning. The accident occurred on Colonel By Drive. The man was driving on Colonel By Drive when he lost control of his car and ended up driving right into the Rideau Canal. The Ottawa accident occurred close to Heron Road Bridge and University Drive in the early morning hours. Thankfully the Rideau Canal had already been drained for winter and had little water in it. The driver was in his late 20s and was alone in the car at the time of the Ottawa accident. Ottawa rescue crews had a difficult time helping him escaped and needed to extricate the driver and cut the man’s car open. Thankfully they were able to help bring the driver up from the bottom of the Canal; when he was then rushed to the Ottawa Hospital Trauma Centre in stable condition. He suffered serious personal injuries to his lower body and was treated for exposure to cold. RCMP do not believe that alcohol was involved in the Ottawa accident.

Ottawa accident Colonel By drive results in serious head injury.
Ottawa Personal Injury Lawyer..An eldrely 83-year-old dog walker was hit by a vehicle on Colonel By Drive near Dow’s Lake yesterday morning. Ottawa paramedics treated the elderly man for a serious head injury. The dog was not hurt. The elderly man was conscious when Ottawa paramedics arrived but drivers who came to the man’s assistance said he had been unresponsive until moments before. The elderly Ottawa man was in serious condition yesterday afternoon in an Ottawa hospital. My thoughts go out to this man, his friends and family. It’s a tough time of year not to have your loved ones at home with you.

Ottawa Accident on Rideau Canal. Mom rushed to hospital with personal injuries.

Ottawa Accident Rideau Canal-A woman is in Ottawa hospital and her thankfully son is recovering after she flipped her crossover SUV onto Ottawa’s Rideau Canal this morning. The Ottawa firefighters used the jaws of life to free the woman from her vehicle, which went through the guardrail separating Ottawa’s Colonel By Drive from the Ottawa Rideau Canal skateway at about 8:40 this morning. Ottawa Police said her son escaped with no personal injury, but the extent of the her personal injury is still unknown. Ottawa police officer Constable Yannik Bernard said Ottawa’s slippery roads were likely to blame, rather than speed. The Ottawa police officer also reported that it appeared that the vehicle was headed southbound on Ottawa’s Colonel By when the driver lost control, having just gone under the Ottawa’s Bank St. overpass. Despite the Ottawa accident, Ottawa skaters were able to continue on the Ottawa canal, passing by only a few feet from the accident scene. One Ottawa witness, who stayed with the woman until emergency crews arrived, reported to the Ottawa Sun that when the Ottawa accident happened “it was crazy to hear the car hit the barrier and turn to see the car spinning on it’s top. She had just passed me when it went over the rail.”
