Ottawa pedestrian hit by dump truck, Bank and Somerset , serious personal injuries

10. Watch for debris, potholes, grates or any road obstacles.

Almonte ATV accident results in critical personal injury, Ottawa lawyer David Hollingsworth
Regrettably, 2 young people suffered serious personal injury last Sunday in an Almonte ATV accident on Clayton Road near Almonte. The driver , who suffered critical personal injury was a 19-year-old Mississippi Mills young woman. She was driving with a passenger; a 21-year-old Mississippi Mills man. Unfortunately, neither were wearing safety helmets when the Almonte ATV accident occurred and they were both thrown into a nearby ditch.
Thankfully, witnesses were nearby and brought the accident victims to the Almonte Hospital. The male passenger was treated for very serious injuries and released over the weekend. Unfortunately, the female driver suffered very critical personal injuries and needed to be transferred to the Ottawa Civic Hospital Trauma Centre. My thoughts are with this young girl, her friends and her family. I hope she is able to fully recover from this terrible ATV accident.

Ottawa Accident Bank Street and Rideau Road results in wrondful death and serious personal injuries

Sadly, the 84-year-old passenger of the car was pronounced dead at the scene of the Ottawa accident. The female driver of the car was extricated from the vehicle and rushed to an Ottawa hospital in critical condition. Both women were trapped in the car and the jaws of life had to be used to get them out. It was reported that the dumptruck driver was in his lane and was driving the speed limit. A shovel came off of what is assumed to be a truck, the shovel landed on the vehicle behind it. The shovel landed flat on the windshield severely damaging it. The driver of the car, a woman, was thankfully unharmed. She had the composure to safely pull over to the side of the road without causing any accidents. Thank goodness, had the shovel landed differently on the windshield the woman may have suffered serious injuries as opposed to a scare.
