Winchester accident sends 2 to Ottawa Hospital Trauma Unit with critical head injury, leg injury and fractures.

Ontario Injury Lawyers David Hollingsworth and Associates. An accident in Winchester Ontario has left 2 men in the Ottawa Hospital Trauma Unit following an early morning accident yesterday morning. The Winchester accident occurred on County Road 31 when one vehicle is believed to have crossed a centre line and hit another vehicle. Police are investigating why the van may have crossed the line but still have not determined why. Ottawa paramedics were second to arrive at the Winchester accident after they were asked to help the Stormont Dundas and Glengarry Paramedics. Both drivers of both vehicles were trapped in their vehicles and were eventually freed by the Winchester rescue crews. One man was rushed to the Ottawa Hospital Civic Campus with severe trauma including a critical head injury and critical leg injury. The other man was also transported to the Ottawa Hospital Civic Campus with several traumatic injuries and multiple fractures and is in serious, but thankfully stable condition. I wish both men in this accident a full recovery. They have both suffered very severe injuries and will have a long road ahead of them. County Road 31 will be close for Police investigation. Killaloe accident- mother and toddler airlifted to Ottawa Hospital Trauma Centre.

A terrible Killaloe accident has left a mother and one of her children in a Ottawa hospital with serious injuries. Kristen Birney was driving a minivan with her four children inside the vehicle when it was hit by another vehicle turning from Opeongo Road onto Letter Kenny Road at about 5 o’clock last night. The OPP are looking to press careless driving charges against the 67 year old driver that struck the minivan. The result was that Kristen and her 3 year old toddler were airlifted to the Ottawa Hospital Civic campus in critical condition. The OPP are continuing in their investigation. If you have any information that could help police, please contact the OPP. My thoughts are with Kristen, her young child and their family at this difficult time and I’m wishing them both FULL recoveries. Thankfully they are in excellent hands at the Ottawa Hospital.

- be cautious when crossing and do so promptly. Don’t waste time and make sure you get completely across before the light changes.
- be aware of cars that may be turning and may not be able to see you;
- as much as possible, wear bright clothing or reflective wear and make yourself as visible as possible. Most of all, use common sense.

An Ottawa accident has left a 35 year old woman with injuries in a hospital with a serious chest injury and head injury after she was hit by a vehicle early this morning. The vehicle rolled over several times, hitting a cement post. The driver was travelling alone and was treated for severe injuries to her chest and neck. Ontario Injury Lawyers David Hollingsworth and Associates…I’m so sorry to share this terrible news of a volunteer firefighter who left a Clarence-Rockland Christmas party on foot and sadly was killed Saturday night. Nicholas Vachon was 31 years old and was walking home when he was hit by a car on Landry Street , close to Baseline Road. The party was at Clarence Creek Arena and was a party to honour 150 Clarence-Rockland municipal employees and their guests. Nicholas was described as an incredibly positive person, someone who wanted to make a difference and someone who wanted to help others. Nicholas was walking along the side of the road when he was hit by a car. Sadly, he died on route to hospital. Nicholas was very close with his family and had recently spent quality time with his brother and sister. The details of the accident are still unknown and police are investigating. My thoughts go out to Nicholas’ family, friends and the community at his very tragic time.

Ottawa Personal Injury Lawyer David Hollingsworth and Associates… An Ottawa accident has left a young woman in very serious condition at the Ottawa Trauma Centre. The accident happened early this morning around 5:30 am on Highway 417. Ottawa Rescue Crews arrived at the rollover accident on Highway 417 close Highway 7. The driver is a 26 year old driver and was travelling alone at the time of the accident. Thankfully, no other vehicles were involved in the accident. My thoughts are with this young woman and her family at this difficult time. I wish her a full recovery from this terrible accident.

Ottawa Injury Lawyer David Hollingsworth …Regrettably, a 78 year old woman passed away as the result of an accident close to Carlsbad Springs, close to Devine Road and Frontier Road. Ottawa paramedics arrived at the accident scene and performed CPR before she was rushed to an Ottawa hospital. Sadly, she later died of her injuries. Another 3 people also suffered personal injuries in the accident ; thankfully they’re in stable condition. Ottawa police are investigating the accident.
