Have a great, safe long weekend Ottawa: buckle up, slow down and focus on the roads.

Ottawa Accident Lawyers David Hollingsworth  and Associates. As many of you prepare for a long weekend, I wanted to wish you all a safe and happy weekend. A reminder to those of you driving on the highways to stay within the speed limit, make sure you and your passengers are buckled safely and focus on the road. Ottawa Police, the Ontario Provincial Police and the Surete du Quebec will all be out conducting a safety blitz focussing  on seatbelts and child car seat safety.  Some of the specific areas they are aiming for are on the MacDonald Cartier Bridge and  Highway 417. I urge every driver to make sure they are doing everything possible to keep our roads safe.  Happy holidays Ottawa !

Accident Calypso water park, gas leak sends 13 children to CHEO.

Ontario Injury Lawyer David Hollingsworth..Close to 20 people sufferred serious personal injury yesterday at Calypso Water Park. A strange gas suddenly filled the air causing those who inhaled the gas to cough and gag. Nick Beaudoin and his 2 nephews were partof those who needed to be rushed to an Ottawa hospital. 13 children in total needed treatment for the exposure to the gas and were brought to the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) due to sore throats, runny eyes, nausea and vomiting. It was reported that many kids were dropping  to their knees in pool, gasping for air. Then several kids began vomiting and foaming at the mouth.

Ottawa rescue crews arrived at Calypso close to 1:30 to treat  20 children that had been exposed to the unknown gas. Calypso waterpark officials have confirmed that the gas wasn’t a chlorine leak and reopened yesterday afternoon. The Ontario Ministry of Health is investigating the incident.

Pembroke Teenager death Shane Laplante in tragic accident. Ontario injury lawyer David Hollingsworth

Ontario Accident Lawyer David Hollingsworth …Sadly, a  17-year-old boy from Pembroke has died in a car accident after the pickup truck he was driving crashed in L’Isle-Aux-Allumettes, Quebec, yesterday afternoon. The tragic accident took place at around 5:30 p.m. close to 200 Desjardinville Rd. The truck flipped over several times before it finally came to a stop. The 17-year-old was then transported to a Pembroke hospital but did not survive was pronounced dead. The police are still investigating the cause of the accident but police have said that alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the accident. My thoughts and sympathy goes out to the friends and family of this young boy…

Renfrew Car Accident , Ontario Car Accident Lawyer David Hollingsworth

Ottawa Accident Lawyer, Renfrew Car Accident Lawyer  David Hollingsworth — Highway 17 was closed early Wednesday morning for about two kilometres at Renfrew, forcing all traffic to detour through the town. Provincial police said there was a serious car accident on the two-lane highway, though they didn’t immediately have details. The highway was closed between O’Brien Road and Bruce Street. Those are the two main highway exits to Renfrew, at the east and west ends of the town, respectively. I hope everyone involved in this Renfrew accident is ok and has a speedy recovery.
