Ottawa Pedestrian Accidents, Ottawa Lawyer David Hollingsworth

Ottawa Pedestrian Accident Lawyer David Hollingsworth…I wish everyone involved in these Ottawa accidents a full and speedy recovery from their personal injuries. A fourth pedestrian was rushed to an Ottawa hospital yesterday after being struck by a vehicle in central Ottawa.

The latest occurred at about 2:20 p.m. when a 77-year-old man was struck by a SUV at the intersection of Albert and Lyon Streets. He was treated for shoulder and ankle injuries and was transported to an Ottawa hospital.

About half an hour earlier, paramedics treated a female pedestrian for leg injuries after she was struck by a car at the intersection of Elgin Street and Laurier Avenue. The female patient was conscious when paramedics arrived and was sent to an Ottawa hospital in stable condition.

Two other pedestrians were rushed to an Ottawa hospital with serious personal injuries yesterday morning after two accidents occurred within minutes of each other on Bronson Avenue. A 27-year-old woman was struck by a minivan and treated for head and hip injuries at Bronson Avenue and Somerset Street at 9:23 a.m.

Paramedics say another call came in about three minutes later regarding a male pedestrian who was hit at Bronson Avenue and Brewer Way, near Carleton University. In that case, an accident between two vehicles apparently sent one car out of control. Sadly, a 24-year-old Carleton University student was struck and thrown about three metres.

Firefighters say the force of the initial Ottawa accident sent one of the vehicles off the road and into the pedestrian who was standing nearby. As soon as firefighters got to the scene, they started to treat and stabilize the patient who was slipping in and out of consciousness until paramedics arrived and took over. The man was treated for head, facial and leg injuries. He was transported to Ottawa  where he was listed in serious but thankfully, stable condition.

A 49-year-old female driver of one of the vehicles was also treated for neck and back injuries. Ottawa police are investigating all four incidents.
