OTTAWA — A pedestrian suffered minor injuries after being struck by an OC Transpo bus while crossing Cobourg Street at Rideau Street shortly before noon on Monday. Ottawa police said the bus driver could not see the pedestrian in his blind spot. Two passengers on the bus also received minor injuries and all three were taken to hospital, however the most serious injury was cuts to the pedestrian’s arm when he fell to the ground. The incident is under investigation and no charges have been laid.

Ottawa Car Accident Lawyers, Law Firms in Ottawa -The Ottawa Citizen reported of a terrible car accident whereby a car hit an Ottawa pedestrian on the Cummings Bridge between Montreal Road and Rideau Street. The male pedestrian was taken to an Ottawa hospital with serious personal injuries and later continued to be in serious but stable condition, according to an Ottawa police spokesman. The Ottawa police speculate that the pedestrian was walking on the sidewalk and lost his footing and fell onto the Ottawa road and was then struck by the oncoming car.

Across the city, in Orleans, a young 14-year-old girl was in another serious pedestrian accident . She too was struck by a car and was treated by Ottawa paramedics for a “closed” head injury and other serious personal injuries and brought to an Ottawa hospital in serious, but stable condition.
