Ottawa Injury Lawyer David Hollingsworth.. A terrible accident on Highway 17, north of Renfrew has left one woman dead and others with injuries. Highway 17 was closed between Haley Station and Cobden, from Cheneaux Road to Forresters Falls Road. The deadly accident involved 3 vehicles  on Highway 17 yesterday morning.  The Ottawa accident occurred when a dump truck was travelling west on the highway and hit the back of a transport truck, which spun into the eastbound lane, and tragically crashed head-on into a car around 7:30 a.m, killing the female driver. The cause of the accident is unknown and investigators are trying to determine why the dump truck was unable to stop.
