Ottawa Accident Lawyer…Sadly, 27-year-old Alexandra Dodger died after being hit by a car headed in the wrong direction in Ottawa’s downtown Saturday night. Ottawa Police say the car was headed eastbound on St. Patrick Street around 3:03 am Saturday morning. The woman was crossing at St. Patrick and Cumberland when she was hit and killed. The 26-year-old driver of the black Honda Accord was arrested and taken into police custody. Alcohol may have been a factor. Charges are pending. This seems like a very unnecessary and tragic Ottawa accident. My condolences go out to the family and friends of this young woman, killed in a senseless accident.
update: Ottawa police have charged 26-year-old Maxime Morin-Leblanc with criminal negligence, failure to provide a breath sample and driving impaired. These charges were handed down after an investigation into a fatal crash early Saturday morning.
Anyone who may have witnessed the event is asked to contact Det. Nigel Emaman of the Traffic Collision Investigation Section at 613-236-1222 ext 2474 or Crime Stoppers at 613-233-8477 (TIPS). Or toll free at 1-800-222-8477.
